Cookie & Local Storage Policy
FiloSpace currently uses browser storage for sign-in and preferences. It does not use advertising or behavioral analytics cookies.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Summary
The application does not currently set non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, so it does not show a consent banner. Adding a banner where there is nothing meaningful to accept or reject would be misleading.
2. Browser storage in use
| Technology | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase authentication local storage | Keeps you signed in and refreshes your session securely. | Until sign-out, expiry, or browser data is cleared. |
| FiloSpace sidebar and file-view preferences | Remembers compact sidebar and list/grid choices. | Until browser data is cleared. |
| Temporary OAuth status and destination | Returns you to the intended page and shows sign-in errors once. | Session-only or removed after use. |
These items are used to provide requested functionality. They are not used for targeted advertising.
3. Third-party sign-in
If you choose "Continue with Google," your browser visits Google, which may use cookies or other storage on Google's own domains according to the Google Privacy Policy. FiloSpace does not control Google's first-party storage.
4. Your choices
You can sign out to end the active FiloSpace session. Browser controls can clear local storage or block site data, but doing so may sign you out and reset interface preferences. There is currently no non-essential FiloSpace tracker to opt out of.
5. Changes
This page will be updated if FiloSpace changes its authentication, analytics, marketing, or browser-storage practices. The last-updated date above identifies the current version.
